This morning’s sermon at church was on the Lord’s Supper, or Communion, and after hearing it I don’t know how as a Christian you can’t be thankful for it! Jesus Christ, God’s son came to earth to die for the sins of the whole world, so we could live forever with him. The night before he died he gave his followers a way to remember his death and what he did for us.
He took parts of the Passover celebration and changed their meaning for his followers forever. The bread and the cup are symbols of his body and blood, broken and shed for us. As believers we celebrate the Lord’s Supper to remember his death on the cross.
Day 76: Thank you Lord for the Lord’s Supper, and giving us a way to remember your death on the cross.
What are you thankful for today? Leave a Comment and let me know, I’d love to read it!
