#390: Voting in Elections

Tomorrow is the Primary Election in my state for Governor and several other offices, and as usual I’ll be heading to the polls. I haven’t missed voting in an election, regular or primary, since I turned 18; even the one when I was out of the country, I voted by absentee. I’m so grateful that we have a say in who runs our country, state, etc. Even if we don’t like the people in office at least we can had a role in putting them there. I really don’t think you have a right complain about or praise our government unless you voted. (unless of course you aren’t old enough to vote yet) Everyone should care about what goes on in our government because whether we like it or not, or realize it what they do affects us. So I’d like to encourage you to vote tomorrow or whenever your Primary election is as well as in November for the General election.

#390: Thank you Lord that we can vote in elections and decide who makes the decisions in government that affect not only us but everyone around us.

Please note, I’ll be out of the country next week and won’t be able to access my blog. But I should be back the following week with a whole bunch of things I’m grateful for!

#389: Fans

Now that it’s Summer the weather is getting really hot. (especially the past few days!) My room is in the attic on the south side of the house, so as you might imagine it can get pretty hot on even warm days even with the AC running. Fortunately I have a pretty high heat tolerance and can usually handle whatever temperature my room is. But still there are days especially if I’ve been out all day where I just can’t handle the heat, so I have to turn my the big box fan to cool things down. I seriously don’t know what I would do without a fan on the really hot days of summer. It’s so wonderful to be able to cool down a room quickly and keep it cool.

#389: Thank you Lord for fans so I can stay cool on even the hottest days of Summer.

#388: Memory Jogs

For the past month or so I’ve been wracking my brain trying to remember the name of a product that I used once several years ago, but I will probably need for my trip this summer. It’s been driving me crazy, I’ve asked other people to help me figure out what it was but no one’s been able to help. Anyway, tonight I was in a store that I rarely visit looking around and I saw it! As soon as I saw it I thought “That’s it!” I was so happy. I love it when things like that happen, you’re trying to remember something but you can’t then all of a sudden something jogs your memory. Of course I wish I didn’t have to spend so much time trying to figure it out, but once it does I’m glad I finally remembered.

#388: Thank you Lord for memory jogs so I don’t completely forget stuff.

#387: Buying Stuff on Sale

I’ve been doing quite a bit of shopping lately, and over the weekend I found several items I needed on sale! I love finding stuff on sale, especially when it’s something I really need. It’s so nice to not have to pay full price for something, especially when it’s on the expensive end. I’m sure I’m not the only one who only buys certain items if they’re on sale. I love going to a store discovering the thing I want is on sale, it’s such a wonderful surprise and I often feel like it’s God providing for me.

#387: Thank you Lord for being able to buy stuff on sale. It’s wonderful to be able to save money on something I need or want.
