#406: God’s Timing

I’m often amazed at God’s timing when things come up in my life, unexpected, unanticipated, early or late. He knows what I need and when I need it even though I think I know when I need it. This weekend is a good example. I’d tentatively started exploring plans for a trip I was thinking about taking next year, but some stuff came up and it looked like it wasn’t going to happen and if it did would be different from I’d thought. The next day I found out about another trip to the same area with similar activities that while shorter than I was thinking about, would be much more doable for me at this moment. I’m grateful to the Lord that I found out about this now, and hope it will all work out.

#406: Thank you Lord that your timing is perfect and you know when we need things even though we may disagree at the moment.

#405: The Person who Returned my Bag

If you’ve read my last two blog posts you know that two weeks ago someone took a bag containing my debit card, id, health insurance cards, and other important stuff. It happened at a place I go weekly and I am happy to say the bag has been returned with everything still inside! As I’d suspected it was a complete accident and I’m SO relieved it happened before I had to replace the more complicated/expensive stuff. I’m thankful the person found and returned the bag, but this whole experience has also taught me a lesson about being careful with my stuff.

#405: Thank you Lord for the person who found and returned my bag so I don’t have to worry about it anymore and the lesson this whole experience has taught me.

#404: The Copy of Insurance Card

If you’ve read my post from last week you know that last Saturday my bag was stolen with a number of personal items inside. I’m still in the process of replacing the stuff, and today I visited the doctor and needed two of the items from the bag: my ID, and health insurance card. Fortunately I knew I could use my passport instead of my ID, but the card was more important. Then I remembered I had made a copy of my card in preparation for my trip this summer which I still had! I’m so glad I kept that paper and they accepted it!

#404: Thank you Lord that I held onto the copy of my Insurance card when I didn’t really have a reason to. You knew what was coming down the road and that I would need it.

#403: Easily Cancelling My Debit Card

Last night someone stole my bag that contained a number of things, including my debit card. Given the circumstances it could’ve been an accident, so I decided to wait a bit to see if anyone called to say they had it. But when there hadn’t been any word by this afternoon I knew I had to cancel my debit card and order a new one. I was glad to find it was pretty easy and quick to do, and fortunately it doesn’t seem like anyone used it. But this is just the first and most pressing step of replacing everything in the bag. I’m praying hard that it truly was an accident and they’ll contact me soon, because I know most of the other stuff won’t be as easy to replace.

#403: Thank you Lord that it was so easy to cancel my debit card, and I pray that if I do have to replace the other stuff it’ll be just as easy.
