Day 266: Tennis Shoes

I went and got new Tennis Shoes (or sneakers, or whatever you call them) today. I don’t wear them very often because I much more prefer to wear flip-flops, boots, or my regular shoes, but I definitely need a pair of tennis shoes around. I wear them when I walk on the treadmill or do most other physical activities where I need to make sure my feet are steady and secure. I have very narrow feet and in general tennis shoes fit me the best because I can draw them tight, but I’ve rarely had one that fit me perfectly.

Day 266: Thank you Lord for Tennis Shoes so I don’t have to worry about my feet when I’m doing stuff.

Day 192: Having the same shoe size as my mom

I’ve said before I don’t own that many regular shoes besides flip-flops. (which I have a TON of!) For the most part I have two pairs each type of shoes in different neutral colors and those are for the usually fine. However, every once in a while, like today when I couldn’t wear flip-flops, I just don’t have the right shoes for my outfit. That’s when I’m really glad my mom and I wear the same shoe size and I can borrow a pair of hers! My feet are very narrow, while hers are normal, but that usually doesn’t make too much of a difference. I can still wear most of her shoes, but she can’t wear many of mine.

Day 192: Thank you Lord for giving me the same shoe size as my mom so I can borrow her shoes if I need them!

Day 100: Old Navy Flip-Flops

I’ve said before if I could go without shoes all the time I would be in heaven. Unfortunately that isn’t safe or sanitary, and you can’t go many places without them. That’s probably why I don’t own many pairs of shoes, I have a few dress shoes, boots, regular shoes, tennis shoes, but that’s about it.

When I say shoes I mean normal shoes, flip-flops are another matter all together. Since they’re the closest thing to being barefoot out there I have a ton, in just about every color you can imagine. (Except orange, don’t have any of those) I like to coordinate them with my outfit as much as possible which is why I have so many because I wear lots of different colors especially in the summer.

Growing up I didn’t like flip-flops because the thong between my toes hurt my feet. Then I discovered Old Navy’s flip-flops and my collection began. They’re the only kind that don’t hurt my feet, and they’re pretty much the only shoes I wear all summer unless I’m doing a lot of physical activity then I’ll wear tennis shoes. I’ve learned the hard way a couple of times wearing flip-flops during the wrong activity is a Bad idea! I keep them for years too, until they’ve pretty much worn out in the heel and I’m almost touching the ground.

Day 100: Thank you Lord for Old Navy Flip-Flops. Thanks for a comfortable shoe to wear during the summer so my feet don’t feel confined and hot!

Day 94: Boots

If I could go without shoes year round I would. I don’t like having my feet constrained even by socks if I can help it. Unfortunately during the colder months my feet get cold fairly easily and my toes can go numb, so I have to wear shoes and socks. Last year I truly discovered how comfortable and practical boots are during the winter and they’re mostly what I’ve worn for most of this fall and winter, as well as the colder part of this spring. While I can’t wait for summer and bare feet or at least flip-flops, I’m glad I have such a nice alternative when I go out.

Day 94: Thank you Lord for boots. Thanks for such a nice kind of footwear to have during the cold months of the year.
